VLC Media Player — setup guide

What you need from the welcome email

Server URL

Username
from the email
Password
from the email
M3U link
full URL from the email
Copy the details exactly from the welcome email. Errors are nearly always caused by an extra space or a difference in capitalisation.

  1. Install VLC Media Player

    Download VLC Media Player from videolan.org and install the program.

  2. Open a network stream

    In VLC Media Player, choose Media → Open Network Stream (in Kodi: PVR IPTV Simple Client; in MyIPTV Player: Settings → Add playlist).

  3. Paste the M3U link

    Paste the full M3U link from the welcome email and confirm.

  4. Done

    The channel list loads. Note that an ordinary media player doesn't provide the same EPG and VOD display as a dedicated IPTV app.
